Meet Kim
Kim Attaya is a husband, father, grandfather, and proven business leader who believes deeply in faith, family, and responsible leadership. The son of a World War II veteran, Kim was raised with a deep respect for service, sacrifice, and personal responsibility. Later in life, he became the primary caregiver for his parents for nearly a decade, caring for them until they passed away — an experience that shaped his compassion, patience, and sense of duty to others. Kim married his high school sweetheart, Valerie, after college, and they have been married for 48 years. They are the proud parents of two sons and grandparents to four grandchildren, who remain the heart of their lives. A ten-year cancer survivor, Kim’s journey strengthened his faith and deepened his commitment to living each day with purpose and gratitude. A strong Christian, he believes integrity, humility, and service should guide both personal conduct and public leadership.
Experience
Professionally, Kim brings more than 40 years of executive and business experience. He built his business with integrity and successfully sold a multimillion-dollar company after 15 years. Previously, Kim served as President and Chief Operating Officer of a subsidiary of a publicly traded company. Throughout his career, he managed large teams, multimillion-dollar budgets, and complex operations—always focused on accountability and results.
Since moving to Conroe in 2007, Kim has been an active community volunteer and HOA leader for more than 15 years. In June 2024, he was appointed to the Conroe Industrial Development Corporation, where he helps promote responsible economic growth and fiscal stewardship.
